Scout is a very sweet and cuddly 5 year old female tweenie dachshund (not tiny and not standard, right in the middle). Her absolute favorite activity is being next to her person. She would do best in a home with someone retired or home most of the time, and preferably where she is the only dog. She likes to be the number one baby. She should not be with cats. She won’t hurt them in any way, but she likes to chase them, even though she doesn’t do anything when she catches up with them. She loves to snuggle and likes to follow her person everywhere they go. She is a wonderful companion and needs someone who will love her and be with her most of the time. She uses the doggy door to go potty or could be walked regularly. She does love to go on walks and ride in the car. She has a slight silver coloring that is just beautiful.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
