Caitlyn is a sweet 13lb girl that is very smart.  She quickly learned walk and meal times in her foster home.  She does wonderful in a crate but must be coaxed in.  She likes the outdoors and loves to stalk birds, squirrels and cats!  She wouldn't be a dachshund if she didn't, right?  A secure fence/gate is required.  She likes all people including children however, as with any dog precautions should be taken around infants and toddlers.

She has mastered the dog door and ramp.  She loves walks and although she pulls a little on the leash she is progressing .  She loves to cuddle and kiss but settles down nicely if that is what you want.  So far she is gentle with toys.  She will eat food if it is reachable (yes, a dachshund!).  She is not afraid of a lot and can be easily trained to do whatever you want.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
