Really Cool Rita is a funny, black and white piebald dachshund, whose greatest joy is sitting with her daddy.  She loves getting head scratches and will let you know when you’re not petting her enough.  Rita is talkative and sassy.  She’ll bark, run in circles, and roll on her back, just because it’s funny.  She came to DDRTX paralyzed, and she has recovered, but because of that, she walks a little like a drunken sailor.  If she spoke English, she’d probably curse like one too! Rita is one of her foster dad’s all-time favorites.  She’s a joy to be around all the time.  Rita gets along with dogs and cats.   When she’s gets the zoomies, she’ll bounce around the other foster dogs and kiss them all over their faces.  We’re not sure how she does around children.  She can get nervous around strangers, but once she warms up, she’s the life of the party.
Rita does need her bladder expressed several times a day, but the good news is, she’ll never pee in your house! She doesn’t have total control of her bowels, but with regular trips outside, accidents inside are pretty rare.
