About Ginger Brown | |
|
|
GINGER BROWN is approximately 1 year old female, red dapple female with one brown and one blue eye. Talk about a looker – this girl will melt your heart with that blue eye and tilted look she always gives.
Ginger came to Diamond Dachshund rescue early April 2016. At first Ginger can be very fearful of new people and gets a little overwhelmed when a lot of people are around, but once she feels comfortable and adopts her human – watch out. She will always want to be by your side. Warms up to females quicker than males but after first couple of days in her foster family she loves everyone.
Ginger has lots of energy and is starting to play with her toys. Working on playing fetch because she love to run. She also walks pretty good on a leash so would be a great walking partner with all her energy.
Ginger gets along very well with the foster family’s 2 other dachshunds (one male and one female) and with a large retriever/shephard mix. Although a little timid when it comes to the big dog, she is fine with bigger dogs too.
Ginger is house trained but likes to go outside with her human even though she knows how to use the doggy door just fine. Ginger does have a UTI which makes her tinkle sometimes when she gets excited. We are continuing the medication for this and she should be just fine.
Ginger will devour her food and any other dog food that is in her sight. You must watch when it is feeding time to ensure she does not get the other dogs food. She is also a terrible begger but the foster family is working on this behavior and she is getting better and better.
If you think Ginger Brown would make a great addition to your home, please fill out an application to adopt at www.ddrtx.org
