DDRTX is a rescue organization operated by primarily volunteers.

If you have a question, please check out our Frequently Asked Questions page first to see if you can find the answer.

If you still need to contact us, we ask that you either leave a message on the answering machine, or send an email. Please do not do both.

• If you have had a home visit or wish to confirm adoption, press 3

Please speak slowly and clearly in your message so we can write down your phone number , if you don’t hear from someone within a few days, please call back as cell phones or bad line connections can cause numbers to be unclear!

​There are so many dachshunds in need and in danger.  DDRTX must give preference to those in kill shelters or otherwise in danger.  As a result, we have very little space available for owner surrender dogs.  If you would like to see if we have space to take in your dog, please email us at DDRTXINFO@gmail.com.  We will not return phone calls regarding owner surrender dogs, email is the only way you may contact us.  Please include 2 pictures and basic information regarding your dog.
