About Amélie Elise | |
|
|
When 7 year old Amèlie Elise came into rescue she was in need some major TLC. She was obese and suffering from a back injury. She dragged her back legs behind her as she waddled along, making her look a little like a walrus.
Fast forward through several weeks of intense crate rest, weight management, and in home therapy and Amèlie is like a brand new dog. She walks, runs, and plays with the other dogs in her foster home. She uses the dog door and ramp with no issues at all. She LOVES squeaky toys and will play with them nonstop for hours on end. All in all, Amélie is a happy, friendly dog with a sunny disposition, and no complaints.
Amèlie is looking for a home where she is the most active dog in the house, so she doesn't reinjure herself. Ideally her new home will be one that will continue her diet and weight management program and be vigilant about her using ramps instead of jumping.
Major Benefits of Amèlie:
House trained
Dog door trained
Crate trained
Walks well on leash
Cuddles when she wants to
Chock full of personality, she is a clown
Vocal! She will carry a conversation with anyone about anything
