Here's Augie Myers and he is the cutest little love bug, small in stature and weighing in at only eight pounds, but a two-ton personality behind that precious underbite. When he wags his tail, his whole little body vibrates and the only time he's not wagging his tail is when he is snuggled up in someone's lap. He's been blind since birth, but that's really only an afterthought since you would never know it by watching him in action! He uses the doggie door, plays with his foster siblings and goes anywhere he wants. He will find you if you call and clap but you can usually find him snuggled up beside you. He goes willingly in a crate whenever his human leaves and will sleep in a crate, although he's great sleeping in the big bed, never moving once he heads under the covers. He's a little stand-offish with men at first, but he can definitely be won over with treats. He is a charmer.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
