Hi there! My name is Diamond Crystal but my foster mom loves to call me “Diamond in the Sky”. I love my foster Mom because she got nuttin’ but Love for me. But, I am looking for a family of my very own. I am housetrained but I do best in a crate when I am left home alone. I like to go on walks and do really well on a leash. Let me show you what a good girl I am.

I like all the dogs that I get to hang out with in my foster home and we have a lot of fun playing and barking at the neighbor dogs when they are making too much noise. But my most favorite thing is to be in my foster mom’s lap. I use my cute little whimper if she does not notice I got up the ramp and onto the couch all by myself to come and snuggle with her. If you are busy doing things around the house I will just be content hanging outside in front of the doggie door, that I use like a pro, or outside in the yard.

You probably cannot tell because I am really good at getting around all by myself but I don’t see very well. I bump into stuff especially when I am excited, mostly around dinnertime, but I don’t mind and just keep going.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
