This Ladies and Gentlemen is the one and only, Queenie. She is a happy and spunky young lady! From the moment she arrived at the foster's home, she has shown nothing but Love and Happiness.

The first day home Queenie showed her love of high fashion! Her foster mom had a dress out and Queenie stuck her head right into the dress so she could wear it! She is currently sleeping in a crate but her foster mom thinks she might do good without the crate -- not one accident or oops!  Queenie does love the company of her humans and sometimes might cry for a bit if she does not get enough snuggle time, so if you want a bed sleeper she is definitely your gal!  

She is a pro at using the bells to signal that she wants to go outside but a doggy door could be picked up in a snap (food motivation works well with her!!)! She loves her snuggles and a good belly rub, but her favorite is a good squeaky toy! She will play on her own or with siblings, a good game of tug-o-war is guaranteed to happen! She is currently working out with some short walks to keep at a slim 15-16 lbs.

Queenie is available under a Provisional Contract:  Queenie has been diagnosed as "Light Positive for Heartworm".  Upon recommendation from our Veterinarian, treatment is 6 months on Heartworm Prevention and then to be retested for Heartworms.

Adopter will be provided with appropriate Heartworm Prevention for that period.  Adopter must return Queenie for retesting at an authorized DDRTX Veterinarian.  If Queenie tested Negative at that time, then the adoption will be finalized.  If Queenie tests Positive, she will receive Heartworm treatment at one of the authorized DDRTX Veterinarians at no cost to the adopter.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
