My name is Johnny Trooper and my foster mom calls me Johnny Boy. I was part of the ten Troop dogs DDRTX was able to provide assistance for from East Texas.  I have lived my entire life outside. That’s until they rescued me and showed me what “inside” meant!

Do you know that inside a house it’s warm and cozy? And when it rains you don’t get wet? It’s the best place I have ever been!!! 

I am a sweet 3 year old black and tan. I do well around dogs and cats and am a bit timid with humans until we are acquainted. I will steal your heart in a second-so guard it unless you want to take me home! I am working on potty training and Foster Mom wants me to tell you I'm Potty Pad Trained but am still working on going outside like a good boy!  I'm working on being on a leash but I am a smart boy and want to please you so I will pick it up soon!

Foster Mom says I'm cute as can be and I take really good pictures!  She likes how I always have a little bit of my tongue sticking out!  I want to tell her I do it just for her but honestly, it's just the way I am!  I guess I'm just too cute for my own good and I don't even know it!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
