Layla Clapton is a 2-year-old dachshund mix who came into Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas on 1/11/2019 pregnant and near delivery. She was a stray picked up by Austin Animal Center. On 1/23/2019, Layla gave birth to 8 puppies- genders and names will be revealed at a later time on our Facebook page.  We do not know their mix/heritage.   

Layla is a fantastic mother and a very sweet dog. She loves scratches, kisses, and sardines. Now that her puppies are weaned, Layla is a playful, silly, and very loving girl who would love to be a human's companion. Though Layla does great playing with other dogs, she would likely be just as happy as a single dog cuddling with her family all day, every day. Layla enjoys toys and absolutely loves food-- so watching her weight will be important. Layla has proven to be completely house trained in her foster home and has not had a single accident in her whole time there. Layla is gentle with all people and whoever adopts her wil be very lucky, indeed.... she's practically a perfect dog!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
