Little April Lily was found on the side of the road and was taken to the shelter by a good Samaritan.  She had been hit by a car! The animal shelter tried to find her home but didn't have any luck.  They reached out to rescues to help and we said we would help her.  She had surgery right away due to having a broken pelvis, broken tail bone and some hip issues.  The breaks are now healing on their own. She has one that has a brace with pins and it is doing well.  She runs, jumps and loves to play. April Lily should probably be with small dogs similar to her size so she doesn't get stepped on.  She is still fragile.  Sometimes she cries when someone gets right up to her rear area but her foster mom thinks she’s just afraid it might hurt if they jump on her.  She doesn’t care for over excited dogs so she would do best with calm ones.  She loves to be beside you on the couch or in bed.  She is only 10 pounds and once she trusts you, her tail will wag at you even though it is healing.  She is starting to trust her foster family.  She is a talker and likes belly rubs and ear scratches.

This tiny girl is ready to find a home of her own.
