MAMMA MIA! ARE ALL THESE PUPPIES MINE?! So, I came into rescue after being surrendered to an Animal Care Facility with my 6 nine week old puppies. Turns out that DDRTX was our last hope of leaving that shelter, so thank goodness they stepped up for us!  I am particularly loving.... I love attention from any human! My dream would be to find a human who loves to watch TV and pet, scratch, and generally touch me while they watch their favorite shows. I just adore human interaction and get jealous of the time humans spend on their electronics! If you sit on the couch, I'll come and cuddle up to you and lean on you, looking up at you with loving eyes while you absent mindedly scratch me..... that's my dream come true. I love cuddles and snuggles, and hugs, and kisses! You might notice that I've got a bit of extra height on me-- I'm like the supermodel of dachshunds! Adopt me and you get extra leg for free! Honestly though, what I might not have in dachshund-ness, I make up for in being a loving, sweet girl who will make an excellent, loyal companion. I'm great with other dogs, I'm polite in the big bed, I'm cuddly, I'm doggie door trained, I'm pretty good on a leash, I like kids once I get to know them, I'm gentle, and I'm an excellent alarm system! I'd sure love a family of my own. Are you looking for a supermodel like me? I promise to be your best friend! Mia has heartworms and is available to foster-to-adopt during her treatment. Love dachshunds and not ready to adopt or circumstances won't permit having a dog?  How about being a sponsor or making a donation.  Every one of our dachshunds receives excellent medical care along with day to day food, love and housing.  Being non-profit, we rely on generous individuals like yourselves to help save these fur babies.  You can do this specifically for one dog with the sponsor button on their webpage or a general donation on our “How To Help” page.  Easy and quick through Pay Pal or your debit/credit card.  You generosity is sincerely appreciated by all and is tax deductable.  Need other ideas?  You'll find tons of them on the How to Help tab.  All contributions are tax deductable.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
