Xavier came to our rescue hurt  He had several vets visits trying to figure out what was wrong.  Finally we got an answer, he had some type of infection and it abscessed.  It was cleaned out but there was some damage to his tissues surrounding the infection.  They had to cut out the dead tissue.  He is healing nicely in his foster home. 

Throughout all he has had to endure, he is the sweetest, easiest going boy.  He goes with the flow.  He is loving and only wants to be with you.  He loves being in your lap.  He lives with other dachshunds and is great with them.  He is a submissive boy.  He really likes his crate and sleeps in it quietly at night.  He greets everyone with his tail wagging and ends up in their laps too.  Everyone loves him!  We will learn more about him as he recovers.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
