Meet Zep! He came into ACS with that name so we’re not sure the real origin but one meaning is “angel” and we think that perfectly describes this sweet boy. Zep was dropped off at the shelter with two other siblings and luckily DDRTX was able to save all three as they were all put on the euthanasia list! Our estimate for this guy is 13 years old so that means he is far away from having any puppy energy, but he will lick your face off if you let him. Zep weighs around 21 pounds. He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home and is very enthusiastic when the humans get home. He would do great in any home so if you’re looking for a mellow man to hang out with, he’s your guy. We think Zep could also be short for his favorite band, Led Zeppelin, so he wants to leave you with his favorite lyrics, “Many dreams come true, and some have silver linings. I live for my dream and a pocketful of gold.” Is your family the one to give this guy his second life?

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
