Diana is a sweet and happy 5 year old girl who came to us in pretty rough shape. Despite all the pain and obstacles she had endured, she has always stayed friendly and happy. Diana is pretty low maintenance, she loves to be around her people, but prefers not to be picked up. Diana does great with dogs of all sizes, have done well with our neighborhood cat as well. She is fully potty trained, knows how to use the doggie door and is also crate trained. She has done well with baths, nail trims and grooming.  She is a little bity shy at first, but with some time and patience, she will want to stay by your side.  She looooves food and treats, so she is fed with a slow feeder to prevent her from inhaling her food. LOL!  She would do best in a home with older children and calm or older dogs.  She would also do well in a home with cats.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
