Hello, my name is Valentina.  I'm a small 1 year old chiweenie - I have the face of a Chihuahua and the body of a dachshund.  I was really scared when I first came to DDRTX.  I was afraid everyone would laugh at me because I don't have any fur but everyone in my foster home is being really nice.  My foster mom said it will take time for my fur to grow back but I'm healthy as can be!

I'm a very happy girl - I smile and zoom around and get very excited - Foster Mom calls me silly!  I like to follow her around and help out when I can.  I love playing with my foster kitty sister - we play tag.  I also like to cuddle with her.  I have been learning about leashes and going potty outside.  I'd love a yard where I could run and chase butterflies!  I like sleeping in the big bed right next to Foster Mom - I want to make sure she's warm.  And every now and then, I get a treat!!

That's enough about me,... I'd love to learn about you too and meet you someday.  Foster mom says all you have to do is put in an application.  I don't know what that is but it sounds fun.  Everything is fun to me!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
