This is Chili Bean. He is estimated to be about 10 years old. He was found in a not-so-great condition and had to heal for several weeks. He has some small battle scars now and is completely toothless! That doesn’t stop chili from living a normal lifestyle though. Chili is a happy, spunky and healthy dog. His favorite things include meal time, stranger-danger alerting, snacks and sleeping under a blanket next to you or his dog friends. Chili bean has proven to be excellent with dogs of all sizes (though would prefer dogs with a calmer demeanor) and has tolerated cats so far. He also does great with nail trims, baths and ear cleanings! He is good in a kennel, but prefers to lay in bed with you. He is mostly potty trained so you normally have to lure him outside and stand with him to watch him do his business or even a walk around the block would be enjoyable. Chili prefers a couple who is retired or works from home to spend time snuggling together.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
