Ardy is brand new to rescue.  He was found wandering the streets for weeks.  He was rescued by some good samaritans who took good care of him. Since they couldn't find an owner, they reached out to us. He is estimated to be around 10 years of age.  He is settling in to his foster home.  Since he is so new, we don't know a lot yet about him.  He seems sad right now.  He has gotten attached to his foster Dad and if he can't see him, he kinda wails.  He is working on housetraining but he will go out when he is taken out.  He has worked his way into sleeping in the big bed next to his foster Dad.  He just needs a little time to see he is loved.

Ardy is not available for adoption just yet.  His mouth is in bad shape and has a dental scheduled soon.  We are hoping that helps him to feel much better.  If you would like to sponsor him during this time, please go to the sponsorship page and click on Ardy!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
