Meet Hugo Max.  He and his brother, Louie Rex came to our rescue due to no fault of their own.  Their owners lost everything to a house fire and couldn't keep them.  They are settling in to their new foster homes.

Hugo is doing very well in his foster home.  He is a very relaxed and sociable dog.  He is geting along fine with the dogs in his foster home.  He has also been introduced to dogs both larger and smaller than him with no issues.  He has met both high energy and low energy dogs, he is pretty uninterested in playing and mostly likes to sniff and explore everywhere we go.  He loves people and gets very excited to meet anyone.  He is not much of a barker unless he sees a cat and then he goes crazy.  He is a cuddly boy and will spend all day curled up in your lap, loves to sleep in the big bed but does fine sleeping in his crate as well.  No potty issues and he is doing great using the doggy door to go in/out.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
