Oskar - precious little red short haired boy named Oskar was rescued from a pound in Harlingen area where he was fostered for us by a wonderful volunteer. He is heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment. He is about 6 years old and a little fella at only about 10 pounds. Oskar is GREAT with other dogs so far and loves to be snuggled with. Since he was a street dog, he takes a little time to warm up to love and affection, but now he's eating it up like it was doggie treats and wants more! If you can offer Oskar a happy, safe, healthy home, he'd be your loyal buddy forever. Update 12/07/04 Oskar II - this gentle, sweet, loveing little man is only about 6 or 7 years of age - he's got heartworms and is undergoing treatment at this time. He is a tiny boy, only 10 pounds, red short hair with a kind, gentle and understanding face. He's been through a lot out on the streets of Brownsville in South Texas. He has scars to prove the rough life he's had. From now on though, little Oskar II will have ONLY the best of homes, love, attention, never having to fight for food or search thru trash again. He's neutered, current on shots and will be done w/ his heartworm treatment after Christmas! If you are looking for a calm, well mannered, gentle little mini boy, please consider Oskar II. He's the "perfect" dog for someone out there, now all we have to do is get the two of you together!!! Please contact us! Update 1/4/05 Oskar has just about completed his heartworm treatment and is doing beautifully! No problems at all. He loves his toys, and is such a gentleman!!!
