Juliette - If you are looking for a standard, wire haired female, look no further! Apply today to be considered as a possible forever home for this amazingly beautiful wild boar wire haired pup! She will be spayed within the next few weeks and will be ready to consider prospective homes! She is going to be the epitome of what the "Dachshund Standard" says about the wire haired standard size dachshunds. She's drop dead gorgeous with the BEST personality. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her and tells us how stunning she is! She LOVES to play with other dogs and toys, is doing so well with her house training, and is breaking hearts all over the San Antonio area already. At 15 weeks of age, she weighed almost 15 pounds! what that means is that she's going to be BIG. We are guessing between 28 and 30 pounds of pure breed wire haired goofiness. She will be spayed prior to placement, she's current on shots, fecal tested, treated, and will not be ready until early July. Update: Juliette is about ready to consider a new home - she gets spayed in a couple weeks and will be ready to roll on to her new family! She's going to be Big. She really needs a home where there's another doxie to play with her. Beautiful dog, absolutely stunning wire haired girl. HAPPY ENDING: Juliette is adopted to a fabulous home that adores her wire haired personality and spirit. She's a drop dead beautiful wild boar wire haired standard girl who has found her life long home with two other doxies and a mom who thinks she's the cats meow. She lives in San Antonio and gets visits by her foster parents who fell in love with her too!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
