Hi! I am Vinny and I am just a little guy! I am about 7 lbs of love.  My favorite things to do are cuddle with my foster parents and suck on my blankie. I enjoy sunbathing outside and visiting with the other foster dogs, but I would rather be cuddling.

I was adopted years ago by a family who loved me, but their circumstances changed and I came back into rescue through no fault of my own. When I came back into rescue, I quickly became the favorite dog of my foster mom and her friends. All the ladies, who come over to visit, carry me around. They can't stop kissing me! Being such a ladies man, their kisses make me happy.

A few years ago I had back surgery and it worked out great! There is a scar on my back from the surgery, foster mom calls it my "racing stripe." My fur is chocolate brown and silky soft. You won't be able to stop petting me! I am going to sit here and wait while you fill out the adoption application.  I can't wait to meet you!  I will need daily mouth medicine for some mouth ulcers.  It shouldn't be hard to maintain you can just consider taking care of my mouth the way you take care of yours.

Love dachshunds and not ready to adopt or circumstances won't permit having a dog?  How about being a sponsor or making a donation.  Every one of our dachshunds receives excellent medical care along with day to day food, love and housing.  Being non-profit, we rely on generous individuals like yourselves to help save these fur babies.  You can do this specifically for one dog with the sponsor button on their webpage or a general donation on our “How To Help” page.  Easy and quick through Pay Pal or your debit/credit card.  You generosity is sincerely appreciated by all and is tax deductable.  Need other ideas?  You'll find tons of them on the How to Help tab.  All contributions are tax deductable.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
