Leo is a special boy! He had a home that was wonderful and caring, but due to an unforseen human grandchild that he was very jealous of, Leo needs to find a home with no small children. Leo is a red short haired miniature boy, who is only about 8 pounds of kissy, lovey, snuggly boy! He is very protective and such a handsome young man! Leo has a very independent and dominant personality for such a tiny little fellow. Leo has been well cared for his entire life but needs a home with no children. Leo's strong personality is evident in his likes and dislikes, not to mention his demanding attention of his humans! He is only about 2 years of age.He wants, (no, he demands!) a home that would love and respect his impish personality!

Leo - This little man has a very independent and dominant personality, but is also absolutely wonderful! Leo has been well cared for his entire life and is such a sweet, kissy, cuddling little man - with one exception. Leo really dislikes children and will need a home where he does have to come into contact with them. Leo is only 14 months of age, and a wee little man who weighs only 7.5 pounds. He's a beautiful short haired red, he's neutered, current on shots, on heartworm preventative and is ready to consider a home that will love and respect his impish personality! He needs guidance with housetraining, loves his toys, gets along well with other dogs, but I'd not suggest cats in "his" territory. He wants to sleep in bed with his adopted human parents, loves to go for walks, and is the best little companion! Please consider this little fellow! Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
