01.21.08 Jonah - What a beautiful dog with deep expressive brown eyes! Jonah is a chocolate short haired small standard boy who weighs about 16 pounds and is only 15 months old. He loves to play, give kisses, and is a little shy at first with other dogs and people. Definately not an alpha personality. His legs are a bit longer than I like, but he's all dachshund. He has his own fishing vest, jacket and sweater to go with him. He's housetrained, leash trained and uses a dog door! Jonah had a great family who was forced against their will to give him up because their older female dog had recently had hip surgery, and requires medical care that does not include a rambunctious 16 pound boy trying to play with her. He's neutered, current on shots, and will be hw tested this coming week to ensure he's clear of heartworms. Jonah has a great personality and would love to find a happy and permanent home!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
