1.27.09 Dixie Lou is the sweetest, most attentive, kissy and gentle girl I've met in a long, long time. Dixie Lou is a black and tan tweenie older lady who came to us with a large tumor on her chest and horrible teeth. Both of which we have taken care of, so she's ready to find that perfect home who appreciates the "perfect" dog. Good with everyone, kids, other dogs, men, women, even the post man and strangers!! I approximate her age to be around 9, her weight is about 14 pounds. I sincerely think that once you meet her, you will fall in love with her. She's a real "searcher" - I can see it in her eyes that she's searching for that special person to be her companion to love and care for! Her eyes are definately the window to her soul, and this little soul has seen a lot in her life, she's now ready to be loved and appreciated for the rest of her days in a stable and committed home. An older person? Single? Widowed? Lonely? She's perfect for you!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
