4.16.09 Quigley (formerly known as Dwayne) is going to be your friend for life when we get him healthy again. Quigley was run over by a vehicle and severely damaged. He's a red short haired handsome young man, I'm guessing he's about 2 years old approximately 11 pounds, but will know more and update soon. He's going to be strictly confined in hopes that his pelvis will heal and re-attach - so send prayers and healing thoughts - as his pelvis is broken completely off the spine, so that the hip socket is dangling and he can't use that right leg at all right now. We have him on pain killers, anti inflammatories, etc. All we can do is hope and pray that he can heal without expensive surgery. Let's see what time, patience and love can do for this fella. More updates to come as we progress! Update 5.12.09 Quigley has been using all four legs consistently to walk since Wednesday! We just cannot believe how fast he is recovering from the damage done to his pelvis and hips. We will get a new video soon so you can see his amazing progress! Update 6.14.09 : Quigley - this tiny little red boy is now walking and running and doing extremely well from his water therapy and excellent care from his foster mom. Amazing the power of time to heal all wounds and broken bones. Quigley goes in for neutering next week and will be ready for adoption after the 18th of June! Now, he's not for everyone as he's very protective of his people, so if you are alone and want a great protector as an only dog who will adore you, this is the boy for you! Texas adoptions only.
