8.5.09 Lamar - [Montague County Cruelty Siezure dog] - Lamar wins the award for "most improved" since we brought him to Kerrville from the temporary shelter in Fort Worth after his release. From timid, shy, fearful, limping from an unknown pain in his right hind leg, to joyfully barking to greet me morning and evening, tail wagging furiously and bouncing on his Kuranda Bed! Lamar is a handsome red dapple fella about 15 pounds and about 2 years of age. His coat is already getting shiny and the dry/dullness is quickly becoming a distant memory like his time at the puppy mill. A bath, good food, veterinary care, de-worming, neutering, chipped, shots, etc., this boy is ready for the next stage in his life development! Full of curiosity and little shy at first, I foresee him being someone's "special boy" in the very near future! Consider adopting Lamar! Texas adoptions only. Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
