Great authors are often misunderstood. I'm okay with that as long as my basic need for care and love are met! I'm only about 2 1/2 years old and a trim 12 pounds of distinctive personality.  I tend to be aloof, and am not one to readily greet a new face or place.  But, once I'm more familiar, I have a deep appreciation and respect for my world!  I do best if new people just hang around and don't pay me much mind.  When I'm ready, I will decide to check things out! I'll be sure to come to you when I want some affection and love. Having my own quiet place is important to me and I really like to go there when I need to gather my thoughts. It helps me plan the next chapter in my novel. Between dreaming up my next masterpiece, I like to take breaks and seek out some affection for short periods.  But, I don't really need a lot of attention most of the time.  I do like to quietly snuggle near you on the couch though! When others decide to join, I like to go to my quiet place. I would be the best addition ever for a quieter home.  I'd love a home with well suited friends to play with! Being a laid back guy, I'm simply content to just "be." My favorite pastime is exploring the back yard. There are so many great ideas for my novel out there! I'm hoping for a home where I can finish writing my book. The last chapter is yet to be written! Maybe you could help me find my happily ever after?

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
