Madison, Female, approx 3 yrs old, Dark Blue and Tan, Small Tweenie (12.5 pounds). Get ready to be adored and cherished beyond reason! Madison is the most loving and social dog you could ever hope to meet! She absolutely adores being around other dogs, children, adults and even cats! Madison came to DDRTX after living in a hoarder's home. She was heavily pregnant and just a few weeks away from delivering a litter of pups. She settled in at her new foster home in record speed and blended into the family as if she had always lived there. She has a submissive disposition that makes it easy to integrate her into a home with other dogs, but she would do equally well being an only pet - so she can focus all those great qualities on you! Madison was a fantastic mommy and now its time for her to find a forever home of her own! When you meet this gem of a dog, you will immediately fall head over heels in love. She is calm, yet gently playful... sweet with just the right amount of sass... and wants nothing more than a loving look, a gentle touch and a place to call home. Madison is doggie door trained and has great house manners. She can be trusted in her behavior and temperament. She sleeps quietly on a doggie bed the whole night through and walks well on a leash. She loves to greet passers by with a tail wag and a happy dance. This little lady seems to have it all! Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
