Joey – Hi there!  My name is Joey.  I’m a 1 year old, Wild Boar Dapple (red dappling, not white).  My size is a mini with short hair and I came into rescue from an Austin kill shelter.  I’m an extra sweet boy who loves to snuggle.  It doesn't matter where: in your arms, on the couch, in bed.  I’m just delighted as long as I’m with YOU.  Want to go for a ride in the car? Take Me, Take Me!  I’ll be very good too in the car.  Do you like to take walks?  I’d be so tickled if you’d take me along as I really walk very nicely.  The doggie door is my favorite thing ‘cause I like to do all my business outside. Cats are okay and if they scold me I run like the dickens.  Some of my favorite people are children, ever babies are pretty cool.  Other critters don’t bother me, at least the ones I’ve met so far.  I don’t pay any attention to them really.  I’m very healthy, heart worm negative, up to date on all my shots and neutered too.  I’d really do well in a home with children or with another doggie companion to keep me company (and of course company for you too).  Do you have a place in your heart and home for me?

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
