I'm a beautiful black and tan, long hair boy who tips the scales at just under 20 pounds. At only 1 1/2 years old, I have a lot of energy and life in me! Behind my sweet face is a loving personality intent on pleasing! I tend to be a submissive character who loves attention and enjoys company. I'm a little shy around new people at first, but very eager for approval. I love to feel secure and need a family that continues to help build my confidence.  This won't be a tough job because I'm a perfect gentleman, with good house manners and social skills! My foster brother and sister are fun to play with and we zip around the house in a joyful game of tag. I'd love a home with a friend, or two to pass away the days.  At night, I sleep quietly in my crate and simply love to go on leash walks! Rarely do I bark, unless I'm "talking" with my foster sister. She barks a lot, so I have to tell her to quiet down!  I have an easy going, sweet personality that would fit well in just about any home that will have me. My last family gave me up because they said they could no longer care for me. Now, I'm searching for a home that will love me 'till the end! Maybe you could invite me over to stay? I'll make for great company and be your best friend!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
