I was rescued on St. Patrick's Day, so a good Irish name seemed well suited for me! I'm only 3 years old and had a family before. Just a strikingly handsome Red Dapple tweenie boy with lots of love.  But, things changed for them and they decided I didn't fit in to the plan. I'm a good boy who tries really hard to please people, so I didn't understand why I deserved that! But, my Irish luck stepped in and now I have a second chance! I really love people, but can be a bit intimidated by loud noises or a booming voice. I do very well with my house manners and only need a consistent schedule to keep my habits in check. I love to play with toys and burrow under blankets! But, I tend to get a bit excited and they don't always come away from the game in one piece. A home with children and other dogs would suit me just fine! I'd love to entertain them with my comedic style and inquisitive nature. I love having company and can get a little anxious when they are out of my sight. So, I'll be sure to keep them active and involved in my playful games! We could all use a little good fortune in life, so why not let me share my Irish luck with you?

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
