Hi everyone! My name is Diver, as in short for Dumpster Diver! I was living on my own and fending for myself until, one day I was found digging through someone's trash for a snack.  I'm a "chiweenie," which means half Chihuahua, half dachshund...but 100% awesome! Since I'm only about 2 years old, I think I was rescued just in time to discover how the good life can be! I really like other dogs, but haven't quite learned how to play with them yet. Cats are ok, but I can't understand why they run away from me, so I chase after them to find out why. My favorite thing to do is snooze away on someone's lap. I also love stuffy toys! Especially my cheetah! Now that my dumpster diving days are behind me, I'm hoping for a home that makes sure I don't have to scavenge for my dinner any more. I don't need much. Just a warm lap and a bowl of kibble wills suit me just fine!  Oh, and maybe a few new cheetah toys too?

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
