Believe it, it's true! Even perfect dogs find themselves in need of a second chance! That is my story, condensed neatly into a short sentence. I had a family until they decided they could no longer care for me, so off to the shelter I went. I'm a sturdy, athletic boy and weigh in at about 20 pounds. Only 4 years old and just about the nicest fellow you could hope to meet! My only bad habit (if you could call it that!) is that I love to sneak up and give your face a nice, big kiss! I'm very outgoing and would make a great play pal for an active family with kids and a nice yard to romp around and play.  Meeting new people is lots of fun and I'd be happy to share space with other dogs.  I'm just an all-around "good ol' boy" who found himself down on his luck. But, I won't let that get me down! I'm sure my luck will see me through! I'm so excited for my chance to find my forever home with a family just like yours!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
