I'm a 4 year old, 17 pound boy, full of energy and curiosity! Keeping myself very busy is how I choose to spend the day! I have a fearless nature and love to ensure my environment is free from any intruders. I've even taken on a porcupine a few times, not that that was such a good idea when I think back on it. I'd do best in a home without cats, as I tend to think they make for a really fun game of chase, and I've been known to try to explore. A really tall, secure fence is a must in my new home! I'm extremely intelligent and would benefit from some formal training to bring out my finer qualities.  My housemanners are good and I'm working on learning to wait patiently for my turn. I also have a little shadow!  Her name is Lucy! She follows me everywhere I go and we like to settle down in our crate together for rest times. We've been best friends for a long time and really want to stay together. I'd make a great friend for a family with an active lifestyle and lots of energy to spare!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
