Hey there—I’m Jim!  I am a small guy with a BIG heart… I just want to be loved!  Seriously, take a seat and let me snuggle you and we can just stay here a couple days and be best friends.  Nah, you don’t need to work or eat!  You need to stay and cuddle!  Have a big family?  I’ll snuggle them, too!  My foster people always sing me a song: “can anybody find meeeee… somebody to love.”

As you can tell, I enjoy people of all varieties— sometimes it takes me a few minutes to warm up to them, but once I claim you, I will love you forever.  Considerate children who like to pet me are great, too.  I don’t mind calm dogs, but cats need to be barked at and when I go someplace new, I like to mark my turf, but I don’t mind a weenie wrap at all.  I walk on a leash really well and enjoy car rides, understand couches and beds, do well with a doggie door, and am just looking for a stable family to be my forever home.  In a public setting, I do great as long as I have you with me.  Though I can do well in lots of situations, a calm household with someone to hold me and maybe another friendly dog to play with sounds like Heaven to me….. are you the somebody I am looking for?

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
