I was found as a stray in San Antonio, overweight and with a high heartworm count. My teeth were in such bad shape the only thing they could do was to pull them all. Please don’t think I can’t eat though. My foster mom feeds me high protein, grainless kibbles with a little water. They say that we smaller dogs don’t really chew our food much anyway, so that’s why I’m glad I have good stomach juices. I sometimes get soft, freeze dried liver or chicken treats. Did I tell you my birthday is on 1/16/2007? I have lots of energy and love to run in the yard and go for walks, but I also love to be inside and comfortable. I sleep in a crate, and I like a blanket over me so I can poke my nose out from under it in the morning to smell the new day. Another dog in the family would be ok with me, but I really, really need my own adult person to relate to. I love to cuddle and be close, but I can also rest in a comfortable spot in the same room as “my person,” or even by myself. I’m happy and confident and, with my tongue hanging out, I get lots of attention from people. They seem to think that I’m very cute.
