An F-A-M-L E, yes that’s the life for me.  We’ll run and play and laugh all day, me and my F-A-M-L-E!  OH my, that’s music to my long lovely ears.  For one so young I’ve not been very wanted even though I’m as sweet as can be and ever so loving.  Even though it’s nothing to do with me, twice I’ve been abandoned by my family.  The last time I was taken to the pound to suffer whatever fate awaited me there.  Boy was I scared.  Rescue came in and said, “We’ll find this beauty a furever home”, and away I went to experience a brand new life.  Being a silky black and ten small standard puppy, I’ll be around 20 lbs when I’m full grown.  Just the right size if you ask me.  My disposition is calm and gentle while my personality is smart, eager to please, quick to learn, active and very playful.  Other dogs, kitties, TOYS and children make wonderful companions and playmates.  I prefer being with my people or doggie friends as I can get lonely all by myself.  I’d really flourish in a home with other dogs or children so we could play together as I really crave attention and companionship.  Right now riding in a car makes me nervous and upsets my tummy so we’d need to work on helping me in that area.  Learning to walk politely on a leash with a harness and perfecting my house manners is going along nicely.  So far I’ve remembered to not have an accident in the house which makes my foster Mommy very proud of me.  While I sleep quietly in my crate, I’d be happy to share the big bed with you if that’s okay with you.  So here I am.  Sweet.  Lovable.  Loyal.  And ready to be part of your F-A-M-L-E!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
