Sometimes, being beautiful is so hard!  My outside screams out for attention, while my inside stays more timid and shy.  My beautiful black and cream, long coat just begs to be stroked and I'm so eager to learn that gentle touch!  I'm just a tiny girl, tipping the scale at about 7.5 pounds, and came to rescue after having a littler  of puppies.  Now, I've been vetted and won't have to worry about focusing on those duties again!  I'll get the chance to focus on learning all about what it means to be a family friend!  Being a round other dogs is good for me.  If I had a confident friend that has already learned all about trusting their human, it gives me a good example to learn from!  During my stay here with DDRTX, I have become very attached to my buddy Regan Roo Who who is just another beauty like me.  So we should really go to a home together.  Oh, and I do hope you don't have any kitties at your home, they are just not my style!  I'm trying really hard and making good progress now that I'm feeling safe and loved!  Won't you give us a try?

Love dachshunds and not ready to adopt or circumstances won't permit having a dog?  How about being a sponsor or making a donation.  Every one of our dachshunds receives excellent medical care along with day to day food, love and housing.  Being non-profit, we rely on generous individuals like yourselves to help save these fur babies.  You can do this specifically for one dog with the sponsor button on their webpage or a general donation on our “How To Help” page.  Easy and quick through Pay Pal or your debit/credit card.  You generosity is sincerely appreciated by all and is tax deductable.  Need other ideas?  You'll find tons of them on the How to Help tab.  All contributions are tax deductable.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
