Stop the presses!  Brand new to rescue! One handsome, black and tan dapple boy! I'm about 2 years old and just as sweet as the day is long. I sleep nicely in my crate during the night and want to spend my awake time playing with people, other dogs... heck!  Even the cat is a friend of mine!  I adore playing with stuffy toys, but they tend to lose out on that deal and then the stuffing flies! I'm a fast learner too!  In a very short time, I learned that when you say "cookie," I get a cookie!  See how smart I am?  I'm also doing really great perfecting my housemanners!  A schedule and lots of praise has taught me that I get a cookie for going outside!  I can be little timid at first, but warm up very quickly and I simply adore kids! My new family should be very careful to keep me in a secure yard or on a leash and harness when out and about.  I have a tendency to run off when things get exciting and don't want to get lost again!  At only 10 pounds, you might say I'm a small fella.... but my personality is bigger than the moon!  I'm all vetted and ready to start the next chapter in my life.  Get your application in quick because I'm eager to meet you!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
