When I was left at the shelter with two broken legs, I pretty much figured this was the end for me.  I'm only about 18 months old, so I still had hope someone would help me find a future.  Thankfully, I was rescued and given a name that matches my strong will to survive!  Both my rear legs are broken and I'll need lots of love and time to heal up from that.  The doctors said they could "try" to fix them, but it would cost way more money than my rescuers can afford. Even then, I would still have a wobbly walk and it might not work as well as everyone would hope.  So, instead I'm getting lots of care and I even got a fancy cart! Now I can zoomie around without any pain in my healing legs!  I'm a super affectionate boy who shares kisses with everyone I meet.  I've even met some cats and didn't seem bothered by them!  I'll need a home that knows I'll have special needs to care for... but, in return, I'll give the most special love right back to you! Don't count me out just because I'm different!  Give me a chance to show you how truly special I am!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
