Hey there!  My name is Ibanez (like the guitars) and I am the kind of puppy who is going to make an experienced owner an AMAZING dog.  I am full of spunk and energy and I know exactly what I want!  I can be a little pushy and I like to tell my siblings who is the boss, but really, when you look like me…. how can you NOT take charge?  I am what is called a “dilute red” dachshund—this means I have a gorgeous red coat, am only about 6 pounds, have a liver-colored nose, and light green/gold eyes.  I am a rare find.  My foster people say I am the curious one of the litter with a ton of bravery to back it up.  I like to explore on my own sometimes, play with my siblings at other times, and then if I feel like it, I will come give you kisses and love.  I am doing great with doggie-door training and I sleep in a crate every night.  If you are looking for a strong, independent-thinking puppy, I am exactly the boy you’re looking for!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
