Hi there!!!  My name is Laramie, but my closest pals call me Larry! Who can resist a long-haired, strawberry blonde dachshund?  I have the softest coat and sweetest, happiest personality you will ever meet.  I'm an older gentleman at over 9 yrs old but really, dachshunds are like a fine wine—older is better, right?  I'm a little over 11 lbs so I'm just the right size to fit in your lap, and I adore love and attention.  I lacked dental care over the years so I only have a couple teeth left, BUT my reverse vampire smile is a thousand watts of gorgeous, anyway!  I recently had a couple fistulas repaired and a wire inserted in my LOWER jaw to help BUILD UP BONE AND STRENGTHEN MY JAW—no I don’t look like Frankenstein, or anything—I look like Larry! JUUUUST LARRY.  I went for my followup and I'm all healed up and ready for adoption.  I am crate trained and working hard on my housetraining.  If you're looking for a sweet older gentleman, someone who would love to go places with you and meet everyone in the world with a tail wag, I'm the one for you!!!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
