LOVE, LOVE, LOVE-- I have love to spare!

Hey howdy hey! My name is Donovan and I am a sleek, red, short-haired boy who is ready to love you... and you.... and you.... and you over there, too! I want to love everyone! When I came into rescue I had severe injuries to my underside and leg that looked very much like amputation of the leg would be the only way to help me. I was truly determined and though it took major surgery, a LONG time , and a LOT of patience to heal, I have recovered use of my injured leg and now I am like all the other dogs! In fact, I am a very active dog with a ton of personality who is ready to come and be your very best friend! Let me break it down for you: I am a friendly, happy, snuggly, intelligent boy who love to play, wants to protect my family, can use a doggie door and piddle pads, is ready to learn tricks and behaviors, who likes other dogs and wants to go in the car with you..... I. AM. PERFECT! On top of all that, my overbite makes me look like I am smiling sometimes so I really am cute as a button!!! Ok, I do have one drawback: I don't like cats, but really, who needs them anyway, right? I have overcome EVERY obstacle and injury and think I am one of the happiest, sweetest dogs ever.  Give me a chance to show you how amazing I am and you will never regret it! Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
