Hiya!  I am Dazzler and I was rescued from a shelter.  Diamond Dachshund named me "Dazzler" from the X-men series because I can blind people with my blazing, beautiful, brilliance! Really, though, I am a sweet girl that tested positive for heartworms, have finished my treatment and am now available for adoption.  I want you to know all about me! I am a gorgeous red girl with one dazzling blue eye and one warm brown eye. I am friendly with new people, adore adults.  I prefer male dogs, but do get along with my 12 year old foster sister.  Maybe we can say I'm particular with the girls I want to be around.  I want to be the prettiest in the house and strut my stuff with no competition! So I'm a little "bossy" my foster people say, but hey, when you look like me, why NOT take advantage of it? I am leash trained, great in a car and crate trained although I don't like to be in one for very long. While I am gentle, good-natured, and affectionate with my people, I am also named after an X-man so I am protective, alert, brave, and intelligent!  I like to hunt and will keep your yard free of birds and squirrels.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
