Hello world! My name is Dasher and I am so ready for my forever home! I'm a really happy guy and I get along with everyone! Even grade school kids and dogs bigger than me! Everybody needs a kiss from me! I'm a gentlemanly senior at the age of 8, but don't let that fool you! I still like playing with toys, wrestling with my fur foster brother and sisters, and barking at that squirrel in the back yard! But the only ferocious thing about me is my appetite! I sure love to eat! My foster mom puts coconut oil on my food every meal. It tastes so yummy! Plus it's really helping my skin issues I had before coming to rescue! My hair is already growing back! She also likes to call me skeksi (I don't know what that really is, but if you've seen The Dark Crystal you might know what she means!) because of the grumbly sound I make when I'm happy! It makes her laugh so I get excited and do it even more!

But enough about me! I want to know about YOU! If you think you're ready for a handsome red man in your life, I'd love to snuggle in your lap and listen to every word you tell me!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
