JD (Jimmy Dean)

JD - aka - Jimmy Dean - is a red male short haired boy who is about 11 pounds and best estimate for age is 7 to 8 years of age. JD is a playful, rambunctious boy and an avid hunter - because of this gregarious and outgoing personality, he decided to make friends with cattle... got kicked... caused severe damage to his front leg, causing us to have to amputate it at the shoulder. JD has learned to walk, run, play, use dog door and be himself on three legs! It's been amazing to watch his recovery as the loss of his leg doesn't seem to faze him in any way! Jimmy Dean is ready for a home, he's fully vetted, fully recovered and totally healthy! UPDATE: Jimmy Dean is the BEST little fella! he acts as though he's lived his entire life w/out that one leg that got damaged by a calf kicking him. He has a high metabolism so I keep him on puppy food to keep the weight on the little guy. You couldn't ask for a better behaved yet independent dog!! The only handicap this boy has is how people view him. He's one of my all time favorites!! consider adopting him today, he deserves a home of his own!

Glory Risinger

Glory is the tiniest little puppy mill girl of the Montague County Animal Cruelty siezure bunch! Glory is about 3 years old, weighs like 7 or 8 pounds, short haired black and tan. Her coat is horrible and non existent in places due to urine burns and dermatological reaction to flea and filth infestation. With care, food, vitamins and supplements, her coat ought to grow back in all shiny black soon. Her foster mom took one look at her, scooped her up in her arms and has refused to put her down to this day! I think it'd take a bulldozer and possibly handcuffs to get her to give Glory up!

Rhett Weaver

Rhett was a GREAT little black and tan male short hair boy who was found running along the highway one night! He now lives with his mom who adored him so much, that she now fosters for DDRTX and has adopted another dachshund to be Rhett's friend! Rhett got his name because he was so stunningly handsome and such a gentleman that he needed the perfect name - and it suits him!

Brandi

Brandi is a pretty little brindle longhair with extreme shyness issues. She came to us a really bad situation, was seen by a vet at VREC in SA who has adopted her - Brandi gets to go to work with her new veterinaria mom, and has lots of 'surrogate' moms at the vet clinic who get to help her socialize every day! She's now the belle of the ball and will overcome her shyness through the power of love, attention and socialization! I'm especially happy for Brandi!!

BriAnna

Brianna came to us from a really bad situation, but rebounded when she discovered steady, healthy food, squeeky toys and a wonderful new mom and dad who adore her pretty cream coat and dark eyes! She's mesmerized her foster home to a point where they just coulnd't part with her! She's living the life of a spoiled princess in San Antonio now!
