These faces are just a few of the Dachshunds that Diamond Dachshund Rescue takes in each year. Unfortunately, these dogs did not come to us in perfect health.

We have seen a great many Dachshunds, especially seniors, who need placement this year. We believe that the rising cost of medical care has caused some people to have to surrender or abandon their pets.

Diamond Dachshund is committed to accepting as many Dachshunds as possible each year. However, we cannot do this without help.

We have created the DDRTX Special Needs Medical Program that will help us better assess the needs of incoming dogs, provide for additional testing when appropriate, and support the recommended treatment.
