They tell me I am a street dog from San Antonio but I had a good home in my past that taught me good manners.  My fractured ribs and pelvis had me in a lot of pain but I couldn't tell these humans how it all happened.   But my bones healed up real good and went to the doctor and got spayed so no more puppies for me.  I do like to be with people and get lots of attention but of course, what dachshund doesn't?  Cats can be interesting to chase but if they don't run from me then they aren't very interesting.  Stoopid cats.  Oh speaking of belly rubs, they are just the best and I turn over on my side and ask for them.  And I like toys and tennis balls.  Gotta peel the fuzz off the tennis balls and de-stuff the toys.  Its a must.  Uhm, if you have one of those big horse-like dogs, I get pretty intimidated by them but I warmed up to my doxie foster sisters after a couple weeks and they were OK to have around.  I really prefer a doggie door so that I can go outside and take care of my business when I need to.  I can't always hold it for a long time.  If you have one of those or maybe you are home a lot, I could be a good fit for your family and make you real happy.
